Missing A Lesson

Whether you’re a student or an instructor or helper, it’s very important for us to know if you can’t make it to a lesson night – and the sooner the better as last minute rearranging can be difficult and may lead to others being disappointed! If you are a student who can’t make it, your instructor will be able to help another student for that evening; if you are an instructor, we will make arrangements for your student to be paired with another instructor so that they still are able to have their lesson.

Here are some options for letting us know about your absence…

  • If it is earlier than 4 pm on a lesson day, contact your Supervisor directly with the contact information they have provided.
  • Email [email protected] with your name, the date(s) you will be away, the group you are with and the name of your student or instructor.
  • Leave a message on the CADS phone line: 403-286-8050.

Please note that emails and phone messages left later than 6 pm may not be heard in time.

Weather Policy

CADS Calgary lessons will run as scheduled as long as Canada Olympic Park is open. If COP is open and you have not received an email indicating otherwise, please assume that lessons are on.

To check if COP is open, visit the COP website or call the COP Snow Information line at (403) 247-7669. If/when it is necessary to cancel a lesson, an email will be sent to all students and volunteers as soon as possible.
