CADS Calgary Gala
The centerpiece of CADS fundraising efforts is the annual CADS Gala. The gala serves the dual purpose of raising funds and awareness for CADS Calgary, while emphasizing participation in adaptive Snowsports! The joyful nature of the CADS mandate shines through as attendees enjoy a fun and interactive evening with other impactful members of the community. Donors leave the event feeling energized, motivated and proud of their contribution to such a great program.
This year, we are participating in Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK). BFK is a non-profit program run under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. All donations through BFK are matched up to 50%!

Make A Difference!
Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (CADS) Calgary is able to operate thanks to the generous contributions of donors, sponsors and strategic partners like you!
Your contributions, large and small, will fund the purchasing of adaptive skiing and snowboarding equipment and subsidize the fees that students pay for lessons, easing the financial burden placed upon families.
Not only will you be helping some remarkable individuals descend the snow covered mountain, but you’ll be promoting health and wellness, while fostering the development of independence and willpower, strengths we all need as we tackle life’s various mountains.

Other Ways to Give
There are many ways to give to CADS Calgary. Please consider one of the following initiatives:
We have been a volunteer-based organization for the past 40 years, currently with approximately 600 members.
Our main objective is to promote adaptive skiing and snowboarding by teaching and training volunteers to teach students with disabilities how to ski or snowboard using adaptive skills and equipment tailored to their needs.
Demand for our programs grows every year, so if you wish to support us financially, please consider visiting our Canada Helps page.
Partner with CADS Calgary
We are seeking long term, value-driven partnerships with companies, social groups and organizations who share our values of inclusion, accessibility, community and passion. With strategic partnerships we can improve our infrastructure, reduce administration and operation costs, strengthen our program offerings and invest in our students and volunteers.
CADS partners will enjoy a motivated workforce, positive media opportunities and a great chance to engage the community, all while contributing to a great program.

In September, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities announced an $8 million sport relief fund to help sport and recreation organizations continue to deliver programming in 2020 and beyond.
As you may be aware, many community organizations have shut their doors due to the financial burden created by COVID-19, including lost revenue and increased program costs. CADS Calgary has experienced the impact of the pandemic first-hand.
We are amongst 668 sport and recreation organizations nationally to be provided with grant support through Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. We are beyond grateful to receive this news and know how positive an impact it will have on sport and recreation organizations, and ultimately, on kids across the country.
With Jumpstart’s support, we’ll be able to run our program next year, as well as as well as purchase and maintain our equipment needed.
A big thank you to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for supporting many organizations across Canada!
